About 87% (UBOS 2018) of smallholder farmers in northern Uganda have limited access to recommended good high quality seed, technologies and market linkage thereby experiencing low production and productivity of sorghum, Soya beans and Groundnuts. This has affected the volumes produced and the profits earned by the farmers in the region.
Asedi Agric Services Ltd. is solving the seed multiplication gap through working with producer farmer groups in selected Districts to implement a formalized Seed Production Delivery Partnership Network aiming at producing Quality Declared Seeds to form a Local Seed Bank Scheme on various seeds by fully involving young innovators in the production.
